About ASOS
ASOS is one of the UK’s largest online fashion stores and is perfect for students looking for a deal. With regular sales and frequently updated collections at affordable prices, you can update your wardrobe and keep up to date with the latest styles without blowing your student budget.
ASOS is an online-only retailer which helps its ability to offer lower prices, as it can pass on the savings of not having a physical presence in the high street. Its lack of retail stores does mean you can’t try clothes on before you buy, but we’d rather take the cheaper prices, especially with the returns process being so simple.
See our ASOS shopping hacks.
ASOS brand and product examples
As well as its own-brand label, ASOS stocks a vast range of items, from high street brands such as Topshop, Nike, and New Look, to designer labels including Fred Perry, Barbour, and Ted Baker.
If you’re shopping for ASOS' own brand clothing, check out the main collection alongside its Petite, Tall, and Curve collections to find the best items for your body type.

ASOS Marketplace
ASOS Marketplace launched in 2010 with just 20 sellers and since then has become the leading online platform for independent brands and vintage boutiques. It’s one of the best places for clothing entrepreneurs to establish their own business or grow an existing brand.
The site represents over 800 boutiques from all four corners of the globe – Belarus to Bulgaria, Australia to Austria. And it continues to grow!
Unfortunately, there is currently no student discount offered by ASOS for students shopping via its Marketplace, however, in the past, it has offered discounted selling rates so keep an eye out for this returning.
Some boutiques do offer their own discounts on ASOS Marketplace, such as 10% off when you follow them. Make sure you watch out for these offers!
How can I sell on ASOS Marketplace?
If you’ve started your own brand, you can apply for a boutique on ASOS Marketplace and benefit from selling to the global audience of fashion lovers in their 20s. You’ll get a personal account manager, editable boutique storefront and opportunities for coverage across ASOS’ website and socials.
Sounds good? Click here to find out more and apply.

How to get student discount at ASOS
There are several ways to enjoy your student discount at ASOS; you can get your discount code with your student email address, UNiDAYS account, Student Beans account or a TOTUM/NUS membership.
How to get ASOS student discount with your student email address
Linking your student email address to your ASOS account is probably the easiest way to verify your student status and get your discount. The best thing about this is that once it’s verified, you’ll be able to use the same discount code until your graduation date!
How to get ASOS student discount with your UNiDAYS or Student Beans account
It’s easy to get your ASOS student discount code with a UNiDAYS or Student Beans account. Just follow these simple steps:
Both UNiDAYS and Student Beans usually offer an ASOS 10% student discount, but occasionally this is doubled, or can reach as high as 25% off. Watch out for this around the start of term; we’ll list it here and on our deals page whenever it’s available, too.
How to get ASOS student discount with an NUS/TOTUM card
A TOTUM card (formerly an NUS card) or membership isn’t free, but it does come with an abundance of benefits, including TOTUM ASOS student discount. As with UNiDAYS and Student Beans, this is usually 10% off ASOS items, but can vary.
Check the TOTUM site to find out about the current TOTUM ASOS student discount and follow the steps to redeem your code.
Frequently asked questions about ASOS student discount
If you’re a university fresher or just new to using student discounts, check out our list of frequently asked questions below. Got a question we haven’t answered? Leave a comment at the bottom of this page, or reach out through our Facebook group where there’s a community of other students ready to help.
Who can get ASOS student discount?
The only condition to being able to take advantage of student discount is that you have to be a university student. That includes part-time students, mature students, and postgraduate students too! As long as you can verify your student status, you can get an ASOS student discount code.
Are there any items I can’t use ASOS student discount on?
If you’re wondering if you can use your student discount on sale items at ASOS, the answer is usually no, though there are exceptions. Keep an eye out for special promotions which allow you to save on sale. You’ll usually be notified of these by email, so make sure you’ve signed up to the ASOS newsletter.
Unfortunately, you can’t use your ASOS student discount to buy gift cards, pay for delivery fees, or purchase Premier Delivery.
Can I use my ASOS student discount code with any other discount codes?
Unfortunately, ASOS only allows one discount code to be used per order, so you can’t combine your student discount code with any other discount codes. Check out this page before you purchase; if ASOS releases any codes which offer you a better saving than your student discount, we’ll display them here.
ASOS sales, offers, and promotions
ASOS have regular sales and promotions throughout the year, including Black Friday sales, Boxing Day & January sales, and bank holiday sales, which are all great for making your student loan stretch a little bit further. With most ASOS sales, you can save up to 70% across sale dresses, skirts, and shoes, and plenty of ASOS men’s sale items.
Asos Halloween Sale
ASOS also tends to have special offers around payday weekends, as well as at the start of university terms. Often, these offers are time-limited (eg. only available between 7pm and 9pm), so you have to be quick! We’ll post on our Facebook page whenever new offers become available, so make sure you’re following us.
Past offers at ASOS
We’ve featured so many ASOS offers here at Save the Student; we’ve lost count of how many we’ve found and shared in the past.
Some examples of past offers and discou at ASOS include:
ASOS Premier Delivery
Asos Package
Those of you who regularly shop at ASOS will likely benefit from ASOS Premier Delivery. This is a very affordable way to get next day delivery; it costs just £9.95 for an entire year. As next day delivery would usually cost you £5.95 per order, you only need to place two orders before you start to see the savings. If you placed 20 orders across the year (let’s face it, that’s easily done), you’d save a whopping £109.05. Do we need to say any more?
Let us know in the comments if you find any great deals at ASOS and we’ll add them to this page. Don’t forget to keep checking back for the latest ASOS offers.
